To pin è un verbo inglese che significa «fissare con uno spillo»: le pin up sono infatti le ragazze dei giornali che meccanici, camionisti e altre categorie umane (adolescenti, militari, etc.) appuntano ed appuntavano sui muri e negli armadietti.

Sono molte le categorie che usano affiggere le pin up nei posti più impensati... quelle dei camionisti e dei macchinisti sono probabilmente le più entusiaste.
Tutto nasce certamente da ...una vecchia associazione erotica tra donne e motori: difficile scoprire se i due termini vanno insieme perché sono semplicemente al top dei desideri maschili, o se all'inizio l'accoppiata fu solo un'idea pubblicitaria.

L'immagine riecheggia sempre una donna anni 40-50, il gusto è sempre un po' vintage.
Un'immagine che ormai è diventata Arte, forse perchè lo era già fin dal primo momento.

E allora perchè non dedicarle un evento, una retrospettiva ed un'indagine sull'Arte_Pin Up - oggi.

Anche alla luce della tendenza della moda, tutta da incoraggiare, di superare la triste taglia 38 delle mannequin.
